Pay Scale PAY SCALE Rs. 15,600-39,100 ( PB-3) pius Rs. 6600 (Grade Pay) NPA as per rules (Total emoluments excluding T.A. HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 31688/-p.m. approximately (BP plus GP plus NPA) DA @72% of ( BP plus GP)
Age Not exceeding 45 years as on normal closing date. Not exceeding 50 years for Scheduled Castes candidates and not exceeding 48 years for Other Backward Classes candidates, as on normal closing date, in respect of vacancy reserved for them. Relaxable for regularly appointed Central /UT Govt. servants upto five years as per the instruction issued by the Govt. of India from time to time. OBCs included in the Central list and list Notified by Govt. of National Capital Territory of Delhi would be eligible for age relaxation under this category.
Essential Qualificaiton (s) A. EDUCATIONAL
I. A recognized MBBS qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (Other than licenciate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of Educational Qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
II. Post Graduate Degree/Diploma (M.D. (Psychiatry)/ M.D. (Psychological (one year course) Medicine)/ M.D. in Medicine with diploma in Psychological Medicine/ Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin.) of two years’ course. Diploma in Psychiatry (Mc. Gill) University, Montreal, Canada of two years’ course/ D.P.M.) in the concerned specialty (Psychiatry) mentioned in Section-A or Section-B in Schedule-VI or equivalent as mentioned in note below or DNB (Psychiatry).
The candidates holding DNB qualifications would need to get their qualification verified by NBE as to whether it is as per the requirement of the Gazette notification No.MCI-12(2)/2010-Med.Misc.dated 11/06/2012 and produce such verification certificate at the time of interview.
EXPERIENCE
Three Years’ experience in the concerned speciality (i.e., Psychiatry) after obtaining the first Post Graduate Degree or 5 years’ experience after obtaining the Post Graduate Diploma.
Note1 M.R.C.P. /F.R.C.P., F.R.C.S refers to Diploma or Membership and Fellowship awarded by all the Royal College of U.K. and Fellowship of Royal College of U.K. and Fellowship of Royal College of Canada.
Note2 Holders of Speciality Board of USA Qualifications should complete the entire requirements of the Board concerned.
Note3 Insofar as Post-graduate Medical Qualification awarded by Indian Universities are concerned, they should also find a place in the Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 as amended from time to time.
Note4 Member Academy of Medical Science MAMS.
i. Note This qualification shall be a recognized medical qualification as aforesaid only when granted on or after the 1st April, 1976 on the basis of the results of examination conducted (whether before or after the said date) by the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi on behalf of the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and not when conferred as an Honorary Degree.

Note5 In terms of Govt. of India. M/o Health Family Welfare (Department of Health) Notification No. V. 110015/12/78-ME (Policy), dated 29-08-1978 the qualifications granted in United Kingdom shall be recognized medical qualifications only when granted on or before 11th November, 1978.
Note6 Holders of equivalent Post-graduate qualifications are approved by the Medical Council of India from time to time will be considered to have requisite Post-Graduate qualification in the subject concerned.
Duty(ies) Candidates shall work in the dispensaries and hospitals of the Government of NCT of Delhi and shall be primarily handling patients of various types in these Hospitals and dispensaries for medical care. However they can, also be entrusted with other work including administrative and other related work as per exigencies of the Public Service.
