Job Description
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in concept meeting of product development.
- Prepare offer drawings for various products for approval from customer.
- Prepare Test specifications of the product as per customer requirement.
- Prepare Development schedule of product and ensure adherence.
- Get prototypes made from Tool Room, Production Engg & outside agencies.
- Make Designs of the product consisting of component drawings, sub assembly drawings, assembly drawings etc.
- Participate in Design FMEA and prepare DFMEA documents.
- Prepare PDQA standard for the related products.
- Get samples assembled and get them tested from Lab as per specifications.
- Send samples to customer through QA and Marketing and follow up for approval.
- Release ECNs for relevant changes in Product design during development
- Maintain product files as per system.
- Maintain drawings, reference samples of existing products and ensure proper storage.
- Release ECNs related to existing products against approved ECRNs.
- Ensure proper control of all controlled documents released by the Design department
- Maintain imported reference samples and keep record of the same.
- Maintain Library consisting of IS standards, books, specifications and other standards and issue them as per system and ensure proper storage.
