Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to
provide engineering support for a product or range of products through
all phases of Product Development, Product standardization, and
development of Knowledge Database.
Jobs and Responsibilities:
Directs, coordinates and completes Engineering requirements and activities on assigned Projects in consultation with Projects Engineers from various Manufacturing Plants.
Manage the Engineering scope, cost and schedule, plus related risk and change for assigned Projects.
Produce Engineering reports, technical papers and bulletins. Perform design calculations on structures and umbilicals.
Based on the project requirements, create designs, documentation and bills of material for umbilicals and terminations that meet functionality, quality, delivery and budget requirements.
Create and issue documentation for Procurement, Production and Testing of umbilicals, components, hardware and materials.
Travel to the plants for extended periods of time to develop general technical and commercial understanding of the design, procurement, manufacture, testing, shipping and installation of umbilical and hardware products.
Disposition NCRs for product non-conformities and be prepared to suggest and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Assist in the development of process control plans, Quality Plans and Inspection/Test Plans.
Assist in the identification of new processes/equipment and the development of acceptance criteria for existing and new manufacturing processes/equipment
Enforce and continually improve design engineering guidelines.
Working with the Umbilical Hardware Design and Standardization team, develop standardized designs and calculations and develop a product catalogue based on new standardized hardware
Support in the development and maintenance of the Oceaneering Umbilical Solutions Knowledge database structure and organization.
Adopt and maintain a strong, ever-present and overriding culture of safety in all facets of professional activities and actively help manage and promote Oceaneerings HSE policies and practices

Exposed to any FEA software
