Equity Financing team in Mumbai provides front
office support to Liquidity Management, Security Lending, Synthetics
and Risk margining desks in UK/US/Japan and Asia regions
Role & Responsibilities of the position in brief:
Work in close coordination with Treasury to process and provide data for FSA reporting, evaluating financing hedges and helping them in transfer pricing to the equity desks.
Part of the core group managing and monitoring Balance sheet usage, unsecured funding usage, funding profile for the equities division.
Managing the Prime Broker business MIS requirements to ensure the desk maintains PB lifts within the re hypothecation limits set by the client and provide data for efficient use of indebtedness and over loans to the client.
Manage Firm Inventory Identify, suggest, execute External over borrow returns, cover shorts, Rerate the Trades, Intercompany Net Offs for security Lending desk
Generation of various Market color reports providing Short Interest, Dividend exposure and analytical reports reviewing PnL and identifying Loss making trades for the desks across the various regions.
Build client pitch reports providing the traders with one pagers on Pnl and profile of business done to be used for client meetings and conferences.
Identifying, developing and driving ingenious process improvements & enhancements into day to day MIS reporting. Improving the process for generating / sourcing data for the reports and automating / enhancing them to increase efficiency and criticality.
Prepare various MIS reports helpful in daily functioning of desk. The reports provide a detailed analysis of the funding requirement, the type and value of collateral available, the ongoing cost of secured funding across fixed income and equity desks, upcoming repo trade maturities and rolls, evaluating Unsecured funding being used by the desks.

Excellent communication skills with Strong analytical and organizational skills with Ability to multi-task and meet various deadlines.
Need understanding of Capital Markets, Equity and Debt products and types of corporate actions on these products. Experience in prime brokerage/security Lending/Treasury operations and risk management an added advantage
Need good command on Excel, VB Macros and Access database skills and SQL.
Strong team player, a quick learner and willing to put extra effort to build stakeholder relations and garner business knowledge
