Identify & develop
reliable Vendor Base for Casting, Forging & Machining commodities
(Big Housing Castings, Front Axle Supports, Covers, Transmission Gears
& Shafts, Crown Wheel & Pinion Assy., Couplers, Sleeves and
Machined parts); negotiating with Suppliers for Commercial requirement.
Generating RFQ, Scheduling agreements, Purchase Orders, Material & Vendor Master Data.
Project Implementation using various Development Tools, starting from
Potential Supplier Selection (PSA), Quality Risk Assessment &
continuous monitoring as per APQP till the First Sample Approval in all
aspects.
Leading initiatives for follow up on production status at
vendor location, identifying deviations and implementing Corrective
& Preventive Action.
Deploying initiatives to achieve Vendor Reduction, Cost Reduction and Standardising Purchase Function.
Monitoring Supplier Delivery Performance
Alternate material selection and approval as per Indian Market availability inline with design & Quality requirements.
Recommending the Indian Suppliers to Global Level for new localization or to achieve cost reduction targets.
Costing as per First Principle for the parts under Development to find out the Localization Saving.
